2010 WINTER NEWSLETTER

New Lighting – Our clubhouse lighting has been completed, we are now working on the new court lights.  Please excuse the mess on the courts, we will thoroughly clean the courts when the project is completed.  We are using 2 or 3 courts at this time, so please be understanding if you are unable to get your courts as usual.  It will all be worth it in the long run!!

Junior Fun Days - Martin Luther King Junior Fun Day – Monday, January 18, 12:00 – 3:00.  President’s Day, Monday February 15, 12:00 – 3:00.  Check bulletin board and website for details.

MITA Grand Prix– Our Middle Illinois Junior Tennis Tournament will be held January 29-31.  This is for Boys & Girls 10 & under, 14 & under, 18 & under.  There will be players from all over the Midwest area competing.  I recommend our Junior players sign up, this is great tournament experience without the travel!

Junior Clinics – Clinics started this week.  Our next session starts the week of February 22^nd.  Please check the website for details.

High School Clinics – Started this week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-5:30, runs through February 18^th.

Cardio Tennis – Due to our lighting improvements, our Men’s leagues are at split times, so we will not have Cardio Tennis until the completion.  

Junior Singles & Doubles Supervised Play – These programs start this weekend, we are full at this time but we can always use subs.  Let me know if you are available to sub.

Club Championships – We will have our Club Championships February 27 & 28.  Look for details on the bulletin board & on the website.

Pyramid Tournament – We will have our annual Pyramid Tournament on Saturday, January 23, at 6:00pm.  Check the website & bulletin board for details.
